Frequency response is 100 - 10,000 Hz and impedance is 8 ohms. Power-handling capacity is rated at 30 watts (measured using a continuous pink noise generator) and sound dispersion is omnidirectional underwater.

Maximun operating depth is 3 metres below the surface of the water. Recommended operating depth for optimum efficiency shall be not more than 1.2m (4.0ft).

The UW30 loudspeaker is equipped with a 15.24-m (50 ft), 3 conductor waterproof cable terminated within the internal encapsulation material. The UW30-100 features a 30.48-m (100 ft) cable.

Case diameter is 182.6 mm (7.19 in), and depth is 6.63 mm (2.61 in). Six 5.54 mm (0.218 in) holes on a 169.7 mm (6.68 in) circle are provided for mounting in a wet-niche. Finish is pool blue. Shipping wight is 1.8 kg (4.0 lb).
